Where do you place the unit patch on the velcro pocket?

i have this argument with the placement of my unit patch. When I went to WLC at Ft Hood in 2011 they made us place our patches in the middle of the pocket to include the flap. The reason was that it's states centered on the pocket and underneath the flap is more pocket so it's included. I've been wearing mine that way since but often I get some smarty trying to change the placement of my patch. i also noticed that when they made correction they never change the deployment patch so it's a confusion to me as to why on one side and not the other. What's your experience and facts to back them up?

I wear it centered in the bottom portion of the pocket below the flap.
I don't correct anyone wearing it the other way.

I'm feeling too lazy to scroll back up to see who told you - but, whoever said "pick your battles" was definitely right. In a school environment, I wouldn't risk any negative backlash over a unit patch.
BUT . . .
There is a reason why something is called a pocket and something else is called a pocket flap. The combat patch and the unit patch are centered on the pocket.

I usually only do corrections if the patch is placed crooked. Otherwise, as long as the patch is there and straight, then Im good.

I agree with both comments above. Only people that ever really tried to pull out the regulation on me was at Fort Hood WLC like you said.. and Drill Sergeant School. I wear the 1st Cavalry Division Combat Patch and that patch is bigger than the actual pocket so I am always being asked about mine.
