RIGHT or WRONG? Could you ever do this to another Brother or Sister? Tackle them because they are holding up a sign while the President is talking?
Veterans ripped a sign that read "The Emperor Benghazi Has No Clothes" from a protester's hands as a group gathered for President Barack Obama's speech on veterans' issues in Pittsburgh.
The tussle occurred as the president spoke to the national convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars about stressing the need to honor soldiers' service.
The sign was a reference to the September 11, 2012, attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya which resulted in the death of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

SPC (Join to see) If they were burning the American flag I might lose myself in the moment and go crazy, but with just a sign at a veteran's assembly about an issue that is really hitting veterans and the public hard because of the implications of cover up - I might secretly say to them: "cool"! Not really. In all seriousness I would not encumber their right to free speech and I would hope they would extended me the same curiosity. We need to think before we act sometimes. We can't let emotions get the best of us in certain situations.

Not a very tactful response. The President is the Commander and Chief. Questionable behavior of the Veterans involved. The 60's ended a long time ago. Respect for the President should have been the goal of all the veterans attending, only my opinion.

SPC (Join to see) I would help them hold the sign higher! Still not good with the Benghazi situation and non-transparency Obama and Hillary have shown. For me it speaks to what I view as a lack of Integrity.

Me too LTC John Shaw. That whole mess still really bothers me too. Its one of the main reason why I will never, NEVER, vote for Hillary. But I really am bothered that the other veterans tackled the elder veteran. They are all part of the same Veteran Organization.

No SPC (Join to see), as a service member who has served this nation for a few decades in peacetime and wartime I would not participate or support the tacking of any protester primarily because I am firm supporter or the 1st Amendment. Whether or not I agree with a protest sign that does not contain any exhortation to violence or obscenities against the President or anybody else for that matter.
The Secret Service provides protection to the President at all times and is on the scene before, during and after any President or former President speaks, etc. They are the ones who protect the President and his family at all times in all places.
What is especially strange about this incident, unless the thugs who tackled the protester are politically correct and were upset about the poor grammar in the statement "The Emperor Benghazi Has No Clothes" is that there is no direct reference to President Obama on the sign.
I am very saddened by this nation's leadership including the POTUS as far as the events at Benghazi including the assassination of an Ambassador of the USA and several members of his security detail plus the plan to ship arms from Libyan terrorists to Syrian rebels who later proved to be terrorists. Veterans died during that assassination as well.
As a Christian, I pray for this President and his wife as I have for each President since President H.W. Bush that we may live peaceful and quiet lives.

SPC (Join to see) LTC Stephen F. I think this administration's (and Hillary) actions in regards to Benghazi has been pathetic! When you lie directly to a service member family about a video when you know it is political cover...no integrity! I can imagine my wife or children getting lied to about my death for political purposes...Don't lie about the circumstances of a service members death.
