Someone posted this on a Facebook page that I follow (US Army Infantry) and I wanted to hear some feedback from here. There's a lot here that makes sense and some even strikes a chord. I'd love to see some feedback on this one.

The infantry can't be timid and must prepared to overachieve as the battle shifts from defense and offense. You must have the winning spirit or you will just quit. Its a flexible and fluid solution as you attack and defend so you can flight another day, you are the salt of the earth - Ex Tanker

You're right. We should support each other. But, maybe we should stop stigmatizing at a policy level too. http://www.military.com/daily-news/2015/04/17/senator-veterans-still-losing-gun-rights-because-of-va-reporting.html
Senator: Veterans Still Losing Gun Rights Because of VA Reporting
Debate whether vets who can't manage their benefits should be considered "mentally defective" and barred from buying guns resumes.

I read a few paragraphs of it before deciding reading the rest of it would be a waist of my time. Obviously the author thinks very highly of the Infantry, but not the rest of the Army. I find nothing wrong anyone feeling proud to be an Infantryman, MP, Cook, Medic, or any other MOS in the Army. I do however, find the author to be quite arrogant and quite frankly an idiot. He obviously has no idea what Soldiers in other MOSs do to support the Infantry mission. Intelligence reporting is an important element to plan combat operations. The medics with him render emergency medical aid that can keep a wounded warrior alive and stable for the aviators who will come into a hot LZ to evacuate them. When an Infantry element is getting hammered, it will be air or artillery support that provides additional fire power to defeat the enemy in battle. Those who work in logistics see to it the Infantry Soldiers are well equipped and have the resources they need for their operations. The list goes on an on how other Soldiers are a key to their operations as the Infantry cannot do it alone. The Army is a team effort.

While I agree with your comments, I think they completely miss the point of the article.
