PO2 (Join to see) We are unwilling to admit we are in a proxy war with Iran. This 'treaty' just means they will get the bomb faster than if we hold them accountable.
If we negotiate with Iran, we need to include and shut down all the logistics of Hamas, Taliban and other proxy fighters they are using around the ME. Too many US servicemembers killed by Iranian ordinance, fuses, timers every year for me to stomach.
After they nuke Tel Aviv what are we going to say to our Israeli ally? Sorry you believed us...

I would absolutely agree with you in the fact that no matter what deal is made (except for a unbelievably great deal for us) Israel our ally will still do what they feel is best for themselves. and when it comes down to it they will attack what they perceive is a threat from Iran.
What I feel will happen after a deal is made is A.) Iran will not hold their end of the agreement and we bolstered them my removing everything currently hurting their economy. or B.) Israel will attack them at some point down the road and we will end up back them up and Iran will see that as a reason to Void the agreement.

PO2 (Join to see) If this was easy, we would not have a Dept of State. Maybe this is Obama's Nixon/China moment.

PO2 (Join to see) - A bad deal is much worse than no deal. I have absolutely no faith in the present Administration being able to make a deal that is not a disaster for our country and the world. Reminds me of a comment I once heard, "If you are going to talk foreign policy with Obama supporters, always remember this -- most of them believe that "Iran" is what they did after robbing the local liquor store".

No. A bad deal is worse than a military assault to take out their facilities.
