Double your influence points by sharing to Facebook?

So every time I post a reply, I notice the little check box that says something about sharing my reply to Facebook and getting double influence points. I decided to try it out but I didn't notice a double increase in my points, just the standard 10 influence points for posting a reply.

Not that it's too big a deal, but am I using this feature wrong or does it not work, etc.?
