How long do I have to wait to hear back from the 35L proponent if my packet got approved?

Window for 35L Packets? | RallyPoint
I'm trying to reclass to 35L. But I have have been told that the packet acceptance window is closed and won't be open until February for AD. I am not having to serve on a 12 month extension just to put in my packet. Does anybody know a way I can get around this? My unit is closing down and I really don't want to be on a detail rotation waiting for a class date.
