Unfortunately, corporate America seems to interfere with everyone's personal pursuit of happiness. Still some good advice. I'd say I do about 2/3 of them.

All good advice but the article starts off with a flawed premise. That is that the Declaration of Independence promises each citizen the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Declaration does no such thing. What it says is:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government."
The Declaration only affirms or recognizes the rights given to men by God and that these rights are "self evident". Hate to pick the fly poop out of the pepper but there is a big difference between the two. If the Man (or the DOI) gives us those rights, it can just as easily take them away. They are unalienable rights, they cannot be given away vs inalienable rights which someone can surrender, sell etc.
