Do 72B slots exist in the Reserves? If so, do they accept direct commissioning, and how can I determine if I qualify?

Do they have 72B reserve slots? If so, do they accept direct commissioning? I re-enlisted recently, but 72B is my dream job. I was wondering if i qualify for the job. I wanted to hear some experiences. Appreciate any inputs.

You would need to talk to a recruiter to find out if there are slots and if they are doing direct commisioning at the time. Do you meet the other requirements? What is your degree in and what level of degree?

I have MS in Entomology from University of Hawaii at Manoa. I also took an additional class related to medical entomology. I have work experience as well in the field in my civilian side.

SGT (Join to see) based on your question, I can tell you with 100% certainty there are 73D slots in the Reserves. Most (if not all) are found in Reserve Preventive Medicine units which are XO slots. Contact an AMEDD Recruiter to see if you can direct commission as a 72D. With a Masters, you might be able to commission as a 1LT (but I could be mistaken). And if they tell you there are no slots available, that's gonna be some bunk because most Reserve PM units have a damn hard time filling those slots.
