The IRS gave tax exempt status to the "first church of Cannibis" in Indiana. The guy set it up as a joke, more or less, to get around the controversial "Religious Freedom Act" signed by doofus Mike Pence several months ago....

What wrong with the Religious Freedom Act? So far as I can tell, it simply gives people and businesses standing in court, so they can sue to not have to provide funding for acts that violate their religious convictions? How is that wrong, or do you, maybe, know something about it that I don't, SGT Anthony Bussing ?

There you go...you wouldn't want to do business with someone who didn't want to do business with you. That is how free markets work. That should be the end of it. As for Jim Crow laws, they were exactly that...LAWS! It is institutionalized bigotry that is the problem, whether it is against gay asian lesbians or against straight white men. The smallest minority is the individual. You can't claim to be for minority rights, yet be against individual freedom.

If you had a business and guys came in wearing KKK robes, should you have to do business with them? I say NO. Business owners, like business patrons, should be allowed to choose the people with whom they transact.

BTW, I voted your last posting down, because the question and the photo together disrespect me. Intolerance is not unique to any political ilk. Your posting proves that.

Why should commerce have to be fair and business owners treat everyone equally? How about small towns where certain services have only one provider? The logic of discrimination being okay on a small scale is beyond stupid, because it can always be increased to a larger scale. I still can't believe the Tea Party exists, or that otherwise rational adults belong to it.

I mean, blacks can just boycott any businesses that don't cater to them, right? Oh, you mean a minority class can easily find themselves shut out completely by the "moral" majority? I'm just going to assume you're okay with whites-only swimming pools and segregated restaurants, because that's what your logic leads to. After all, they weren't supported by that heathen African money.

Heathen African money? WTF are you even talking about? Again, "moral" majority: WTF is that? You don't seem to get it: competition fixes this, as long as government isn't allowed to step in and prevent competition. Yes, any individuals can band together to boycott businesses who treat them unfairly. What do you think happened in the Civil Rights movement? Was it only black people who said enough is enough, or did lots of other people join them? Who was boycotting the Montgomery, AL, busses? I give you the benefit of the doubt, LT, because you are young and did not live through these events. Lots of Jewish people were barred from non-Jewish country clubs, so they founded their own? Is that ideal? No, but freedom is messy.
