I received a couple invitations to join RallyPoint last year but didn't act on it until this year. I joined based on an invitation and have stayed because of the on-line friendships and communications. Sometimes I agree with posts and sometimes I don't; but, I have been favorably impressed with the respect that RallyPoint members usually display for each other and the quality of the discussions.
Does anybody know what happens when a person leaves RallyPoint? I expect their member number is "retired."
The easiest way to find your member number is on your profile page - the URL at the top includes RallyPoint member number -- military specialty.

Frankly, I get sick of talking with civilians and need to talk to veterans and service members.

SFC Mark Merino  I don't remember how I got here.  I don't even know if I was in the first 1,000.  My guess is I wasn't.  I used to think that here I could fellowship with others with similar backgrounds and not have the drama.  HA HA HA!  There is quite the drama on here about the Duggar guy.    I do enjoy all of the not so serious conversations that I think you had been the ring leader of.  The meme competition was awesome.

I remember thinking the same thing. That was short lived. Now there is too much drama. Might as well go back to hanging out on facebook. They have cool games, and I don't get tagged every 10 minutes because someone gets their feelings hurt or doesn't say something ultra PC. Back when there was no "waving the flags of oppression and intolerance" and shoving genetalia and orientation status in everyones face.

How dare you say such non-PC things. I'm offended because I'm a male-identifying lesbian trapped in a mans body! It's my Constitutional right to have VA-sponsored surgery to change my genitals into female ones so they can then make the proper transition into manhood.

#667 here

I received an invitation and thought it would be a good idea to sign up.

Mostly I stay because I like offering the occasional bit of advice from an old Soldiers point of view and I can say things that an Active Duty SM can't.

Proudly holding the #607. I came on right after LTC Yinon Weiss & CPT Aaron Kletzing. It's been amazing to see us grow close to 700K members in just a couple of years!

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
