We are definitely behind the power curve in regards to Cyber Security. I can't speak for other branches but the Army is ramping up their efforts to harden and expand our cyber footprint. The launch of the 25D program and the soon to be established 17C program will be pivots in Cyber Security that the Army has needed for the last 10 years. The question is now: Will we be able to provide these programs the resources and training necessary to combat these APTs (Advanced Persistent Threats) and State Sponsored Hacker groups that are truly waging war on a new type of battlefield. Every second, Norse collects and analyzes live threat intelligence from darknets in hundreds of locations in over 40 countries. The attacks shown are based on a small subset of live flows against the Norse honeypot infrastructure, representing actual worldwide cyber attacks by bad actors. Great response and good info to check out. I just hope that we can as a government and Armed Forces can get ahead in the cyber game and stay ahead. Often too many times we are 5-10 years behind with technology advancements because of the procurement and acquisition phases. By the time we put something out, the next new thing on the block is out and we are scrambling to figure out how to defend against it.

They are putting heavy emphasis on cyber warfare, but it may never be enough. If someone wants to get in they will. They should increase their cyber threats awareness and team.
