I made some poor choices and it costed me my career. I regret it every day now

Fortunately I didn't. I did my contract but I know many who didn't want to stick it out and are really sorry now for not fulfilling their end of the deal. I tried to tell several when I was on active duty it would haunt them the rest of their life with their bad discharges but they were all in denial and said it didn't matter. They just wanted out.

Do enough digging on here and you will find posts from folks asking how they can get their RE Code upgraded so they can come back in after having screwed the pooch that had a massive brainfart

Hindsight is 20/20. Regroup and continue to march. Learn from your mistakes for the future. One option is just give up, but that's a dead end. We all end there, but some go down fighting.

CWO3 (Join to see) Good advice.
Take note those on you still on active duty reading this. Don't screw your life up. My old man used to tell me, "Any dumbass can learn from their own mistakes, a smart man learns from someone elses!"
