Is a medical waiver possible for me to rejoin the military if I have been cleared by the VA docs?

Served 6 awesome years in the Army but was chaptered out due to no family care plan (honorably discharged). While in service, I was raped and got PTSD and depression from it during and after I got out.
Went to VA, got help, battled my problems head on, and got better. I got cleared by my VA docs that I’m all good to join with statements in hand. Will MEPS docs take that into consideration or will they still disqualify me? Has anyone been able to be medically waived with PTSD and depression even after they’ve been cleared by the VA docs?
I’m only human and I don’t know anyone that’s been through some hard times with issues, but I took care of them and actually feel better than before. Still, I would love the opportunity for MEPS to evaluate me themselves just to have them see I’m better than before and doing great even in my job as an federal investigator.

Family Care Plan separation is easy to recover from, lots of people separate and rejoin later after they're married.
You received disability and as I understand as long as you're no longer receiving disability and considered disabled you could be eligible to rejoin. But you still will have to be evaluated my MEPS and will probably need a waiver for mental health as well. Any mental health history causes an issue at MEPS it seems
But as any one here will tell you, go see a Recruiter, nobody on here can give you an accurate answer

Thank you and appreciate the response. Still working on trying to find a recruiter that will actually work with me. As soon as he/she hears had a history of PTSD they are quick to turn the other way, but I will continue to keep pushing and find someone to help me through this.

First of all, thank you for your consideration on rejoining and smitty to hear about your past issues, but VERY happy to hear that you are doing better. Of course seeing a recruiter is your best bet on getting a trip up to MEPS to be reevaluated for military service. And btw, you have the job that I plan on entering once I retire (Federal Investigator).
