Nine years on, Ramadi still matters to troops, vets, families - Were you there?

From what I have seen, Ramadi was a meat grinder.
Were you there? Was it worth it?

They lived behind concrete blast walls at Camp Blue Diamond, manned rooftop outposts with heavy machine guns 24 hours a day and grew accustomed to daily mortar fire. I was in Ramadi from September 05 to October 06. I hate to see that place fall. After all the blood spilled there
