I was wondering how much of a hassle it would to go into active national guard as a college student. I’m starting school this upcoming semester. I was wondering if they could work with my schedule of being in college so I don’t need to find a second job. And how much would this help me in the long run for my NG carrier.

Active duty, including AGR, is a full time job. Your job is primary and your school is secondary

Not real sure what you mean by "active national guard", but if that is orders or AGR, then your place of duty is at a unit from 0800-1630.
There is no "working with a schedule" to attend class on campus.
And there is no tuition assistance if you are AGR.

The "second job" option should be what you pursue in addition to attending drills and AT.
That "second job", if in retail or service industry, is pretty easy to work around classes.
