You attend Green Platoon when you arrive at 160th. If you pass you will continue into 160th, if you fail or quit you will be sent to 101st.

PFC (Join to see) it doesn't matter if you're a crew chief, a fueler, Intel, anything. Everyone who is assigned to 160th does Green Platoon. Even those DA selected to go to 160th like yourself.

SPC Daniel Weinberger - What is your MOS? In my time in the 90s enlisted had to apply for the 160th. However, for some odd reason I had orders to go to the 160th from AIT. Maybe because I had degrees, I did very well on the ASVAB, and I was a serious soldier who worked out in the afternoons as well to prepare for OCS. I visited the 160th recruiters at AIT and informed them I did not want to go to the 160th because I was going to go to OCS and they said STFU! I spent a year with them, and I am glad I got that experience to be with such dedicated NCOS, Pilots, and Soldiers. Their motto Night Stalkers Don't Quit still guides me today.

Right outside Ft Campbell is the city of Clarksville in TN, population around 150,000. From a single soldiers point of view I did not see anything that would be endearing to you. Many soldiers go to Nashville which is like a hour and half from the post I think, but soldiers need to be careful and not get DUIs. The post sits on the TN and KY border. Hopkinsville KY population 30,000 is a few minutes from the post but I saw really nothing there for single soldiers. Go to the unit with a great attitude and strive to be the best soldier and provide world class support. There are plenty of recreational areas if u like to fish and camp. PFC (Join to see)
