SFC Thibault,

I used the pamphlet that the Ed center had on hand. It helped out a bit, but it was just kind of a guideline. My tip is to be patient and really pay attention. I got irritated towards the end and just picked an answer. Eventually it all started to look and sound the same. It is a made up language after all! Best of luck with the test!

SFC Thibault,

I got a 94, if I would've been patient I probably would have done better. I also speak/read/write spanish so I almost confused myself. I was told that people that speak a foreign language already don't do as well as ones that don't. I'm not sure how true that is though.

Hey SFC T, i just took the DLAB last week also using the pamphlet to study. And how he said it is more a guidline, but it will at least give you a general understanding of what to expect, also will it tell you the rules which you actually can study instead of learning the rules while taking the test. Also would I recommend that you record the example sentences so once you did you can listen to that and get an idea of what to listen for and how it is going to sound. I had my girlfriend read it to me so it's the same principle. Whichever suits you best. I hope this helps you out. And good luck.

I actually enjoyed the DLAB, though I left with a knotted stomach and headache. I would recommend getting those books of logic puzzles. I did those for fun and realized that the DLAB was just a high pressure version of it.  It got me a 124.

Try to go in with as open mind as possible.  The last part of the test is what I found to be the most difficult.  There is no rhyme or reason to this test, its complete gibberish and will take no prisoners trying to confuse you.  wishing you luck though.
