I earned my P status back in July 2019. I had moved to a new unit January 2020 for rehab transfer from SHARP Case. Fast forward to May 2020, I get caught up in an Article 15 which was dropped December 2020 due to lack of evidence. Now that I am unfledged for all that I have been MLI. Now my company commander is trying to impose a bar on me. He gets out of command in two weeks. My 1SG has told me the bar will not do anything, but I do not believe him, With this bar, if it is passed, will I loose my P status again?

If you're MLI and you haven't read up on the new promotion procedures, you've been an E4 long enough that it's time to learn. Your Company Commander is required to use a bar if they don't want to recommend you for promotion and you're MLI.

SPC(P) (Join to see) regulations trump 1SGs every time. You have your answer.

Medical treatment is not a valid reason for a bar. You'll be offered a chance to appeal the bar if it is approved. The appeal goes to your brigade commander. The BDE CDR is required to directly respond in writing to your appeal within 30 days. If that doesn't happen after you are barred, head right over to your Division or higher IG

SFC (Join to see) how would all this work if I am going on a 90-180 day mission? I’ve been tasked forced to a different Bn in the BDE.

SPC(P) (Join to see) you still belong to your company and battalion. By regulation you are required to be counseled while the bar is submitted and counseled after it is approved and offered the opportunity to appeal in writing within 7 days of being notified of the bars approval
