Peace
So with all of the sniping that has been going on lately the admins have had their hands full trying to run interference. I know that they have come to my aid to provide the occasional rescue when things have gotten rough. Several here lately have come under personal attack.

My question is this, shouldn't we as active duty/retirees/veterans be able to police our own lanes and keep things civil? It is a simple matter of respect between and among all of us, we don't have to like or even get along with each other, just simply open our minds to what is being said in the varied discussion that go on here.

Just because our opinions differ on topics doesn't mean we need hostilities to break out. Granted confrontation is a part of life, but can't we at least try to keep the individual fires to a slow burn instead of trying to start a wildfire of hatred?

Just asking what others think about this?

Nope, GySgt Wayne A. Ekblad, you aren't. They, the admins, have saved me from myself several times. I just think the behavior of some on here lately has gone over the top.

Sure. The ability to have a civil disagreement and refrain from name calling is a sign of intelligence, confidence, maturity, and professionalism. If you disagree then you're a jerk.

Sgt Mark Ramos I disagree with the final sentence, that is not what makes me a jerk.

SPC Charles Brown, In my comment, the "you" in "you're" was not aimed at you. I intentionally didn't address you by name so that my self deprecating device would work. There is always a danger that humor will not be interpreted as intended. I'll take your humorous response, written in the same vein as mine, as an indication that you understood my intent. This clarification is for the benefit of others, who may not have such an evolved sense of humor as you or I.
