If no one has one, Recommend you simply write a two paragraph memo requesting a letter of acceptance.

Para 1: respectfully request a letter of acceptance to your BN as a Military Intelligence Officer. I will be commissioned (date) and would very much like to serve in your BN in the ARNG. Please find my letter of introduction enclosed.

Para 2 POC is you, email and phone number.

Search in RP for Battalion Commander letter of recommendation. If you have a Cadet version of the SRB enclose that too. If you are prior service include your SRB too.

1LT (Join to see) - address it to the BN CDR, Attention BN S1. I would recommend hand walking it to the unit during a drill. Wear your best uniform and look squared away. Coordinate with the BN S1 first!

Perhaps a courtesy call from the PMS would path the way!

A letter of introduction is not that different from a resume. Just be in form if one exists, courteous, respectful, and always brief. They don't want to marry you, but might consider hanging out if you fill the billet in their estimation. Cover letter and maybe attached SRB and/or CV. You will later be at the mercy of Manpower, and it will be accomplished by leaving calling card(s) and integration with the Command you are joining. O Calls, Commander's Calls, XO brief and even face time with CO.
