You can apply to USASOC positions. If you are more competitive than your peers then you may be selected for some of those positions. Just be aware that many of your peers are former 160th W1 medics, 75th W1 Ranger medics, 18Ds, and 82nd Paratrooper medics.

If you are on active duty, I would encourage you to reach out to your branch manager and let them know your intentions. If UASR, your FTUS, and your rater and senior rater. National Guard, reach out to your FTUS, BN CDR, BDE Commander, and BDE Surgeon as well as the State Surgeon.
