Making a point to see all national monuments and parks along the way. Also utilizing a restaurant rating app to find highly recommended places to eat. Makes the trip that much more enjoyable otherwise.

SFC Jeremy Holm, Wow, eating at nice places!? I have eaten at McDonalds and Applebee's in many states - Now I refrain from travel unless I know of more upscale places. On 1 trip, I stayed 4 nights in '**1/2* places' and 10 nites in Motel 6 to make up the difference.
