I was in the same A.I.T. company as the phase 1 EOD trainees, and remember how brutal it was. I am now wanting to become an EOD officer a d am wanting the best chance to succeed. Could anyone tell me what the pipeline is like, if the dropout rate is as high as enlisted, and any other help information about the job field?

First, you have the board to be selected. Then, you go to phase 1. After that, phase 2 at Eglin. Then, platoon leader course.
After all that, you actually start to train.
Attrition rate for Os was lower than enlisted, but people did wash out. If you stay quiet and really allow yourself to learn and check rank at the door, your chances of success go way up. And have fun, but not stupid fun. Plenty of good people washed out because they did something dumb during the weekend.

what is your MOS now? One of my coworkers is an EOD 1LT in the guard and he said that officers and enlisted attend the same school for EOD. Phase I and II. dropout rate depends on the individual. He pretty much said that anyone with average intelligence could pass the course if they apply themselves.
