How are promotion points going to work with the ACFT?

SFC Arturo Baeza I’m just taking a best estimated guess at what I think will happen. HRC has announced anything that I’m aware of. But there is that big gaping question it leaves unanswered. Will the PPW stay the same reallocate points, or will everyone equally get promoted with zero ACFT points for the next year and a half?

Unfortunately, HRC sucks at announcing changes to enlisted promotions. The last few years every time there is a change, they release a confusing ALARACT or message and implement the change, and everyone is standing around scratching their heads. Compare that to when they changed the NCOER and they sent train the trainer teams to all the major posts to instruct all the Senior NCOs on how to use it and how it would affect future promotions.

I hope it’s nothing similar to the eval change because even when Leaders asked concerning questions (to the teams) they were answered with resistance. Many left confused and feeling as if our concerns really didn’t matter. The change was coming and we would adjust as usual. SMH SFC (Join to see)

MSG (Join to see) I felt exactly the same way at those briefs. Leaders raised legit concerns and the response seemed to be, “shut up, we’re smarter than you” and then they shut down the conversation
