Hello,
Green to Gold ADO is my next goal, however I am having trouble understanding how soon I am eligible to apply for the program due to serving as a Drill Sergeant. According to TRADOC Regulation 350-16, Ch. 3-5, c (11) “NCOs in a DSC status or serving as a DS, may submit applications for attendance to service schools, such as Warrant Officer Candidate School, Special Forces Assessment and Selection, and Battle Staff upon completion of 18 months of their stabilization period (see
AR 614-200).” Which doesn’t mention G2G. Also, when referencing to AR 614-200. Ch. 8-25, b (11) it again mentions only those specific programs along with the approval authority [HRC]. Could someone point me in the right direction?

That "such as" statement is another way of saying "including these." If you have your 18 months TOS, go ahead and submit your G2G packet.

All of the DSs I know that were selected to become officers were well beyond 18 months. But the regulation states “such as” which indicates it is not an all-inclusive list.
Best of luck!
Submit your packet. The worst you’ll be told is “no” and then you can submit with an exception to policy.

Great observation of the possibility that it may not be an all-inclusive list, I appreciate it.
I will be moving forward with my application next year, thank you!

While doing my OCS packet and helping my battle go through her G2G packet, I was told, “Never take no as an answer.” There are exceptions for everything and they worse case is they give you a no, but you won’t know unless u do it in the first place.
