6 years ago my husband got an OTH for Misconduct. Currently he has changed, he studies and we have 2 children. It is possible to get an upgrade for misconduct?

He can work with the local County Veterans Service Officer to apply. He will have to be a person of good standing in the community. It will take time, and won't happen overnight. He will need a copy of his discharge when he goes to the VSO.

Every state is different, but most have a VSO in one form or another.

Heres a link to the VSO directory, should you need it.

https://www.benefits.va.gov/vso/varo.asp

Also there may be some certified reps in your local veterans organizations such as the VFW.

Good luck...the process can take months to years in some cases.

Oops.. the previous link was for organizations. This link is for Veteran Service Officers by state and county.
