The end of last month I made the E6 list. However, every Army system still shows me as an SGT as of today. I reached out to a few SSGs and each one said all their records automatically updated on the 1st when they promoted. I'm currently on a CONUS "deployment" and the unit isn't responding to our inquiries as to what happened. As a side note, Brigade will almost certainly not write up the promotion orders because we have had multiple promotions throughout the years and Brigade refuses to write up the orders.

You just take your promotion orders to finance.
If your unit refuses to produce Promotion Orders then you file an IG complaint

SFC (Join to see) in my 39 yrs of service, I have never seen it work that way . Like I said before things change. Processes change, i recently retired. Never claimed to know everything

If he has orders, why the question. Any one can go to HRC Web site and pull the promotion list. At the end of the day, no slot no promotion. Don't get me wrong I hope he gets it

SFC Kenneth Hunnell Active Duty doesn’t promote on slots. We’ve been using this promotion system with announcing cutoff scores since I joined the Army in the 90s. It’s just that back then the names were published in the Army Times along with the cutoff scores.
