Per the orders, I will have a roommate. But many people are saying otherwise. Has anyone gone through recently? Only reason I ask is because I very much look forward to busting out my yoga mat with some privacy as I have been in quarantine with roommates for quiet some time.

The temp quarters they have for Officer students are usually two bed rooms, a common area and a kitchenette. You can call lodging and ask.

It usually just depends on the post. I've been to schools at Bliss, McCoy, Dix, Benning and Leonard Wood and always had a private room at the very least.

LTC (Join to see) - Leavenworth and APG TDY have what I describe. Lee was a pCS move. The more senior the course, the more private. Having a roomie at OBC/BOLC as a TDY is pretty standard.

LTC Jason Mackay - maybe times have changed. I did ADA OBC at Bliss nearly 20 years ago and we all had 2 room suites with a private bath as 2LTs.

Every time I have done school at FSH I have had solo rooms however I have had friends that were junior officers have bunkmates. That was before the third hotel was built.

According to some Reddit posters, we will be in single rooms that have TVs, mini fridges and microwaves. I’ve heard the “roommate” on the orders is almost never the case unless you are housed off base. That could always change but I’d imagine that space wouldn’t be a huge issue in the on post hotels in this climate.

I had a shared kitchen and shower between separate rooms for ALC and SLC. if an E5 and E6 are billleted that way, I imagine that even a L-T would get that.

Times must have changed. When I went through ADA OBC, I had a 2 room suite all to myself in VOQ. Bedroom, Living/Sitting room area with a fridge and microwave and a private bathroom.

LTC (Join to see) I'm just making the point that if an NCO can get a shared suite, then an Officer should get that as the "worst" option.

1SG (Join to see) - exactly. I've never been to any school as an officer where I didn't get a private room and BNCOC was the last school where I had a shared suite.
