36 b reclassification? Is it possible? How often do they accept E6?

Maybe back in the OIF times it was possible but you pretty much had to have been almost broke enough to be kicked out but still be able to pass a PT test. I’m in finance. So we were the Army’s recycling bin. I got lucky, I reclassed because I re-enlisted during the troop surge and they had a need for E4(P)’s.

They are always over strength and there are never any class seats. It’s one of those where it’s not ever going to be a realistic option

The promotions are worse than 56M. There NO class seats, there never are class seats, and I’ve never seen a class seat in 8 years of being a Career Counselor and reclassing people except when the MOS was over strength. SGT (Join to see)

Oh wow. What are the common MOS that are easy to reclass to? What about 27D? 46S? I’m looking to reclass for better career progression at this point, but I’m looking to stay in the admin section. SFC (Join to see)

Good MOS with civilian HR certs, broad field, stationed everywhere, high selection rate for Warrant and good promotions to E7-E9.
Not 27D they are bottle necked like 56M and so are 46S.
Also, 74D. There are usually class seats and they are usually assigned to the ops section, they are everywhere and their promotions are pretty good. Technically, not admin, but very administrative.
