You wouldn't address that issue on your own? Say there is no NCO around, would you not have a nice chat with said lower ranking individual?
There were some times where I witnessed officers (as a civilian) ignore the actions of a jr. enlisted and keep on their merry way. Would something like that fly with you?

SSgt (Join to see) If there's no one else available I'll handle it, and have when I've had to, it's not pretty. It's not the role of an officer to do that sort of thing when an NCO can possibly handle it.

As Capt Richard Porter says, it is generally not the role of an officer to do much more than make an on-the-spot correction and then seek out an NCO to provide remedial training (since NCOs are given primary responsibility for both individual training and discipline of Soldiers). Depending on the circumstance, I would inquire of the supervising NCO to find out why such a breach was conceivable...

I found some pretty big icebergs, when I went through the course. I think I gained the most from Put it in Perspective. I still struggle at times with all areas of it.

I love this meme. Very appropriate. I don't stop until I get tears or hear something snap.
