I know that many of you have organized RallyPoint meet and greets in your local towns and cities. The process is somewhat simple. Post a message here, spread the word, build interest, and have your event. That works perfectly well for people who are already members of the RP community.

I am looking to build interest in RallyPoint for those people who unaware that RallyPoint exists, and I have already begun.

My hope is to get more people to join RallyPoint, as well as build support networks with fellow veterans in my local community. I'm fairly involved in veteran-related outreach, helping homeless veterans, funding and attending events to support our combat veterans, and much more. Building up a local RallyPoint presence serves many purposes, both online and offline.

My approach so far has been through other social media streams, as well as local establishments with bulletin boards (i.e. Wawa Stores, Sheetz, local VFWs and Legions, Marine Corps League meetings, etc.). I post a flyer with the RallyPoint information, a brief write-up, my name, and tabs that people can rip off and take with them.

I just started putting them up yesterday, so I will let you know how it goes.

I wouldn't mind sharing the 5x7" flyer I created, if anyone wants to see it.

I have tried to encourage friends via FB posts, but you know how FB algorithms work these days...

I just realized that you could also post this information on the various Reddits for military.

Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/Military/

I have been mentioning it to military members I meet locally at work or in social environments. I have managed to encourage a few to join and hope to continue to do so.

Join nearly 2 million former and current members of the US military, just like you.
