I’m slated to attend BOLC in July as well. At this point I’m not holding my breath. We are so far behind on this thing. I wish they’d send me so I can put my “RN” to good use.

1LT (Join to see) - Can you sign for a residency without receiving any bonus? What are the implications of signing and then backing out later? Those of us senior in the nursing field have not done you right. Nursing schools have started to put out quantity over quality which has to some degree necessitated these residency programs on the civilian side and CNTP for new active duty nurses. I am one that believes once a state board of nursing grants you a license, we need to start that very uncomfortable time of working under you own license with no one to hold your hand. No matter how long we put that off, that will be an uncomfortable time. First time I hung blood products alone was scarier than any of my skydives or anything I had done thus far as an EMT-I. Right now two things are happening, you need a good paying job and hospitals need staffing. Do what you need to do to solve this and if your employer is unhappy when you come to active duty, you did not make any of the decisions regarding weak nursing schools or nurse residencies that put you in this position.

In the midst of the day by day changes taking place, I'd expect things to change drastically between now and then. But continue to live your life as it will, only expect the unexpected.

I got my DCC cancel for July. Now schedule for September 2020. Army is not in rush to send you to school right now. I heard they are sending RN pre bolc soldiers for COVID 19 mission.

1LT (Join to see) I received emails about the June DCC class on Friday of last week with the class courses so I assume it’s still going on. I was told I’d what from HRC if it was canceled, so far i haven’t heard anything.

As of about one month ago, I’m also scheduled for July BOLC as 71b. I haven’t got a cancelation notice from my career manager either, but I’m also awaiting official orders. Anyone received those yet?
