I signed a dcss a few months ago and I have been looking into the option for voluntary separation/early ets and I as well as my retention NCOs have hit a wall with the regulations. I'm hoping someone has dealt with a similar situation.

There is no option for that. You will not find that in AR 635-200, it was removed several years ago

we found it under 16-4 in the 2016 edition of 635-200, non-retention on active duty

CPL (Join to see) I forgot they reinstated that. It was suspended for a few years when the Army was trying to grow rapidly.

SFC (Join to see) roger SFC do you happen to know the process? like I said my career counselor is trying to get info as well but it seems it's a relatively rare situation.

CPL (Join to see) it's a chapter like all others. It goes through your BDE CDR and BDE JAG for approval. Chances are your BDE JAG will be confused the first time you request it. There is no set format to requesting it, other than a 4187, and every BDE JAG seems to have their own idea of what constitutes the packet requirements

When I signed mine back in late 2016 I had to leave active (with the option of joining the NG or USAR effectively the date after my AD ETS), loss all favorable action including lossing P status and can't getting promoted. The army in general and my unit in particular were willing to essentially revoke my DCSS if I wanted and keep me on AD, but besides that I had to leave AD.
