Will switching from reserve duty to active duty or Reserve AGR affect my promotion without a break in service?

As a 73A, In a situation where I decide to switch from reserve duty to active duty, will it affect my promotion chances positively without a break in service while I earn the benefits of spending more than 20 years in the Army? or is applying for Reserve AGR duty a better alternative? (Somewhere on this platform i found out that there's a difference between Guard AGR and Reserve AGR but I am referring to the Reserve AGR duty here)
