I am in split ops, and because of the things that has been happening to me (not very lucky in the family department) i am not able to graduate with a regular highschool diploma... I cant do continuation school either bc i wont graduate in time for ait... it is my only and last resort... if not, what is going to happen to me?

Talk to your recruiter. They can probably work with you to push your AIT dates in order for you to complete your high school degree during summer school. On a side note, don't allow a temporary situation to destroy your long-term potential. I've seen too often where people allow family/spouses/friends to influence them in a way that destroys their future in the military (and their education, career, everything else).

The short answer is yes, you can join with a GED. The qualification to that is that recruiting is restricted to how many GED's they are allowed to accept and it requires a higher ASVAB score. However, you are already enlisted and the Army has already invested money in sending you to boot camp. You need to sit down with your unit admin and chain of command and let them find out if a GED is an option for you.
