I had came down on PCS orders prior to a last minute deployment (82nd abn) and anyone 120 days out from any orders was sent with the unit. Does anyone know where to find regulation or policy on how many days out from a PCS report date a unit is supposed to send a soldier back from a deployment to allow to get everything done and in line to PCS?

I thought it was a minimum of 45 days. Your answer should be somewhere in 600-8-101 or in local BN or BDE Out-Processing SOP.

SGT (Join to see) definitely talk to your unit. I redeployed before a PCS to a school and I had less than 2 weeks to get back stateside, in/out process unit, battalion, and post and get my stuff packed up and move to the other base to report. Was crazy, particularly when the movers "forgot" my stuff was in storage and it arrived 2 weeks after the no later than delivery date.
