Have you ever been to Camp Buehring in Kuwait? Can you tell me anything about what it is like there?

I am contemplating a job at Camp Buehring in Kuwait. I am trying to get some first hand information about the base and what it is like to be a contractor over there.

Thanks to all who have responded, however I don't think I'll be packing for Kuwait any time soon. The offer came through for $35 per hour for a 48 hour work week plus 1 hour of mandatory over each day at time & a half comes to $86,450 per year. I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything but that would not support my family back here in the states and they will not be going with me. I would not consider going to that site for that amount of money. I know it is more than a soldier gets but I'm 15 years past a 30 year career in the military not to mention I can make $70k driving a county schoolbus and have the summers off. I never knew how little contractors were paid to go to a place like Kuwait why do they do it?

Cpl Brett Wagner $86,450 won't support your family in the States? Wow. Gotta ask why not? Other than what you spend in the PX or on fast food you won't have any real expenses (phone bill, maybe. Use Skype. Internet, maybe, for your hooch, if wifi isn't provided). I'm not digging but that's some real overhead you're carrying.

You can find it on Google Maps.
Kinda remote into the Desert, we used it as a launch point into Iraq.
Not much out there. Good DFAC, concerts (well, back in 07,08). Decent PX.
Green Bean Coffee, Taco Bell etc.. GYM.. Yeah.. Kinda plain.
