I’m a prior service soldier, recently got to Fort Bliss today and I will be trying to go in process tomorrow. The question I have is can I do this if I have no uniform I have the old ACUs which I’m pretty sure won’t cut it. How would I go about In processing. Also I don’t have a current cac card, I did get a pass for 90 days though to enter base. Thank you in advance

Show up to reception. You should have received a memo authorizing you to draw a new clothing bag issue.

You show up in your civvies. By your orders and file they will know you are prior service coming back in. They will then direct you step by step in getting you squared away from getting a CAC card to getting a new clothing issue to barracks to pay and everything else.

Basically they take it like you are a recruit and outfit you all over over again. They had done this for a while, they have this well in hand.

SPC Jeffrey Tamayo - I might suggest you start addressing people by their ranks again, instead of man. Your not a civilian anymore.

If you’ve been out of the Army for more than 90 days you should get a brand new initial issue. I’m at benning as PS and just got all my stuff today, new boots, uniforms, socks, duffle bags etc.

There is a form you need. Take it to clothing and sales and th en get your “initial”issue. I think your commander has to sign it, I don’t recall who exactly.
