If I reenlist in my current MOS for a bonus and get selected for WOFT shortly thereafter, do I keep my bonus?

I'm coming up on my reenlistment window around the same time I'm looking to drop my flight packet. My MOS is currently giving tier 7 bonuses and I'm wondering if there is a way to keep the reenlistment bonus while also moving forward in my flight goals.

Yes, absolutely. I always counsel my soldiers who are applying the commission to re-enlist for the maximum bonus before applying. Once you are approved for a commissioning program you are not eligible for a bonus when you reenlist. If you are in your re-enlistment window and you are approved for wocs, you will end up having to re-enlist or extend anyway and not receiving any bonus

You’ve been contemplating submitting your packet for almost a year. Stop waiting and submit the packet

In the last year I’ve spent 9 months of it in the field. I’ve done what I can with the time I’ve had available to me and I’m happy to say that I’m really close to being done with my packet.

You will get to keep it. I was told the opposite by our retention NCO and shot myself in the foot by signing away two separate bonuses. I later found out by our CW4 that I was told incorrect information and should of taken the bonus.
