I currently have 4 OSR for my service to Afghanistan (2 deployments-11 months within 24 months= 1 OSR), Iraq (2deployments - 27 months = 2 OSR), Germany tour completion 1 OSR Total = 4. Do I wear the OSR with a number 3 or 4 on it ?

CW2 (Join to see) 4 IIRC. Ribbon is your first. Each subsequent award is a numeral.

You will have to look at the reg, but I believe the ribbon is much like the GCM, where after the subsequent awards, the device is the number. The ribbon no longer counts as one

CW2 (Join to see) Nope. Ribbon and 4. Your second award has a 2, third award has a 3, fourth award a 4 etc. think of it like the NCOPDR or like SSG Rob Cline said the GCM.

Ok Thank you all for the help. I am just trying to double check everything for my upcoming board because someone from S1 told me I should have a 3 and not a 4. Thanks for the clarification.

Sorry to ignorantly butt-in here, but are they now utilizing a promotion board for CW2, or is this some other board you are referring to?
