Is it possible to modify your reserves contract from 8 years to 6 years?

I signed up for my MOS with bonus, and I was told by my recruiter that I have 6+2 years of active reserves and IRR. However, when I looked at my contract, it says I have 8 years of active reserves and 0 year of IRR. Basically none of the people I asked (Reserves/NG) have a contract with 8 years of active drilling. I told my DS at basic and they told me to get it fixed at AiT, and the platoon SGTs told me to get it fixed at my unit. I am now a TPU soldier. Is it possible to get it changed?

Doubt it. You will need to speak with your RPAC/S1 personnel. Because you will now run the risk of possibly losing your bonus that is tied to your current contract. Again, you need to speak with your RPAC/S1 personnel for clarification.

Got it, My supply sergeant told me I can request for IRR after 6 years. However, my cash bonus locked me to my MOS for 8 years. Can I stay in my MOS for 6 years and request for IRR without losing my bonus?

SPC (Join to see) - Negative. If that is even granted, you could lose what's left of your bonus and be required to pay back what payments you've already received.

Look all commitments are for 8 years service period- its in the break down were it matters- instance 2 yrs AD+ 6 yrs IRR or NG or AR. Now if you have signed the contract then that is exactly what you have, and it will be a pain to fight it. Get with S1, JAG ASAP
