This was my second APFT, and the reason behind the failure is a list of pre-existing medical conditions as well as having a migraine today. My 1SG was running with me, and when I finished my final lap she asked my age and told me I had failed. She then reprimanded me for constantly looking at my watch, saying it was the pacers job to keep time and not mine and that’s why I failed. She also told me this PT test was null and void and that I would be taking another one next month. When I went to the company, she didn’t allow me to do height and weight. I wasn’t aware 1SGs have the power to void a record APFT, even if they didn’t like my score. Is there a regulation or AR that supports her actions?

That sucks. I see what you are saying now. Pushing you to pass the test by invalidating a failure is compounding the issue. I think what you need to do is to seriously pursue this hip issue medically. You need to get on a (1) medical profile (2) into some physical therapy in order to heal the damage. More running isn't the answer. Careful though...many times preexisting conditions like this, if they cannot be remedied, often lead to med boards. At your age and rank, any kind of permanent running waiver is going to be out of the question. Likewise, anything that makes you permanantly non-deployable is going to be a ticket out of the Army.

I agree with statement above; your PCM "should" have stated on your profile that you are unable to take a APFT due to your statement.
However, if you have been on profile on and off for a year someone, at company, battalion level meeting are briefing your name in "RED" meaning you are extremely out of tolerance. Thereby as stated above could end with a medical discharge. Approach with caution your next move.

SPC (Join to see) - Well you better get that hip condition addressed and acquire a long-term profile until the issue is resolved. You cannot blame the 1SG for having a vested interest in you but they are technically wrong for "voiding" your APFT unless it was made known as a diagnostic BEFORE the test is administered.

Your 1SG is doing you a solid. As for the HT/WT, it does not have to be done the same day as an APFT. They are two separate programs. In fact, the HT/WT shouldn't be done the same day as an APFT. Soldiers will starve themselves to make tape which causes them to perform poorly on the APFT.

Not recording the failure and rescheduling your APFT was a gift given to you by your 1SG at her discretion. You should have just thanked her and moved on, but you seemingly want to second guess it? I think you picked the wrong line of work.
And BTW, you have no idea of the power of the SNCO. Keep making excuses and you will soon find out.
Looks like you are at a critical crossroads. Start being a soldier or prepare for life after. You can still salvage it if you really want to.
