5-year Wedding Anniversary today

5 years ago today, I was fortunate enough to marry my best friend. She is beautiful, intelligent, caring, thoughtful, loving... and we spend a lot of time laughing together. Our home is truly a fortress, not of brick, mortar or steel, but of love, warmth, acceptance, kindness, generosity, experiences, learning and laughter.

Over the last few years, this has developed into a kind of mantra for me about my wife, my family and our home: I'm not a wealthy man in terms of my possessions or the size of my bank account, but I am one of the richest men who ever lived for all the love and joy in my home.

I love you very much, my bride. Happy 5th anniversary! Here's to many, MANY more!

Congrats! Great philosophy, my wife and I are coming up on 21 this year and that same thought process is what has what's gotten us through the deployments and the trauma. "For better or worse" is what tests your relationship, especially the latter half. Keep it going!!!
