Are you allow to record a conversation with a provider in regards to your own personal medical information on a military facility?

State laws differ on recording others. I can't see any value that recording a conversation would provide. If you need a witness, you are always entitled to request a chaperone

It for proof of of my medical information. If things are being falsified in my record i need proof of it. My word isn't going to save me. So if they refuse me care i don't care because i don’t trust them anyways. I’m recording my session about my information its not about the provider. Throwing just any diagnosis at me and then telling my command I’m in denial is unacceptable.MSG (Anonymous)

Military posts, bases, stations are governed by the individual state laws where they are based. Some have what is called a single consent, which means that you can record. Some have dual consent which means that it requires you notify the other party.
The easy way to do it is initiate the conversation with the provider and record, but in that, before anything of a confidential etc., nature is discussed inform them that they are being recorded. If they say no, simply switch it off and carry on. Most places will not mind and might even do likewise.

Well it confidential to me. Because its my medical information. I was told our base commander said we can’t do it on any military base; but it was a civilian that told me this..
