My husband is in the army reserves. In January 2019 he filed a DD368 to switch to active duty. Sunday (July 21 2019) he received a phone call from a lieutenant colonel asking if he was aware of the active reserves. My husband explained that he still wanted to go active and the lieutenant colonel said he would then give the 368 to the General for his signature. Monday he received a call from his NCO saying the packet is at USARC. My questions are, did the general already sign it if it is going to USARC?
What are the chances of it getting denied at this point?
Should we be contacting someone about this and if so who?
We were told back in June that his packet was at tech (I don’t know if that’s the right word or if it’s initials) his NCO told him they were not going to release his equipment to him because it wasn’t going to be long now.
I understand everyone’s situation is different just asking for any advice or answers if you have been through this similar process or know more about it.

If the packet is with USARC then he needs to get with his Commander and 1SG, there is no need for it to go past the General for signature. Enlisted only need the approval from the first General Officer in their chain of command.

I just did this last year I started my dd368 in December 2017 and it was signed June 2018 I then pcs to fort Campbell ky in August. But yes everyone is right it just goes to the first general officer. For me that meant my G1 and ESC. It took a total of 8 months so tell him to keep his head down but look forward to it.
It's a life style change.
Be prepared. And Good luck

I did the same thing I hated civilian life but I also just started active duty this last year. In regards to your duty station. They gave me a choice of 4 duty stations. I got to choose from fort Campbell, fort Riley, fort drum, and fort bliss. So be prepared and don't get upset if you don't get what you want. Also 12M is very rare mos and most of them are civilian contractors now so as a PFC he may have to reclass so just be prepared. Expect the worst hope for the best.

So we were just informed that the 368 is still at TEC. We were told it was on its way to usarc a few weeks ago but they informed us it’s still awaiting a signature at TEC
