Hi rallypoint I was hoping maybe from you guy's experience that you could shed some light on a weird problem i'm having which is the fact of PFC to SPC. So I enlisted on May 30th and went to basic June 21st but still have not been promoted on AKO or anything. With help I looked for anything that could stop me from being promoted and could not find anything. I have all green health wise, I pass my PT so I'm left wondering what could be stopping me can anyone shed light?

Probably because you haven't hit your TIS/TIG requirements. Just get with your NCOs to get that info so that you have a better understanding.

MAJ (Join to see) and WO1 (Join to see) have excellent advice. Usually you can clear up this type of question by asking your first- or second-level supervisor, Squad leader, Platoon Sergeant, or use the Company First Sergeant's "open door" time. Another route is to check with your S1. They may have a person who mostly works on promotions, awards, etc.

LTC Coe, I like the S1 route. I wouldn’t have thought of that one. Bravo Sir.

Based on your enlistment date, it looks like you haven't met the TIG/TIS requirements for promotion to E4 yet. Once you do, and assuming you stay in good standing, then it's a simple DA4187 signed by your commander.

Sir I enlisted 2 years ago and was promoted to PFC 2018, is it suppose to be longer? I had thought 1 year as PFC 2 years total?
