I got a profile before alc. It us a temp for a year. It only restricts me from going on deployment. It does not limit my performance or apft etc.
Is it possible to go to alc with this?
I looked into ar 350-1 section 3-14 b and found the following:
"Soldiers with temporary profiles preventing full participation in a course that are not a result of operational deployment will be removed or deferred from school attendance consideration by their immediate commander until.the temporary profile is removed"
The way I look at it is that I can fully participate as my performance is not limited in any way.
I am a 35p. Could someone that has access tell me what the atrrs pre reqs says please?

No, you have to take an APFT while in ALC. Also, you should never have a year long temporary profile, that's just odd..
You have access to the ATRRS prerequisites, just go to the course catalog and look yourself

I can do a record apft. It does not limit me in any way physically. It's a year temp

SGT (Join to see) without digging into why you can't deploy for a year, you're on a profile because something is broken enough to prevent you from deploying a whole year. While someone high enough could grant an exception, they won't because it violates policy and regulation, there's no benefit to the Army to override its policy, and your case isn't exceptional enough to warrant an exception.

"Deployment" is an interesting restriction for a profile, and ambiguous.
To determine whether you can "fully participate," depends on the definition of deployment, and any functional limitations, since you can take a record APFT.
If the restriction is solely against an overseas (outside of CONUS) "deployment," then "maybe."
If it means no field training, and/or you have functional limitations that prevent you from fully participating in all of the requirements of ALC, then "likely" not.
As SFC Jason Boyd recommended, check your limitations against the requirements in ATRRS.

As a medic, I have never seen anyone able to go to NCO school on a temp profile. I get Soldiers in my office all the time trying to get their profiles deleted for school. I would call the academy and get clarification if they will take you or not. I dunno how you rode a profile for a year because at 12 months you're automatically flagged by the system for a review to either med board you or figure out what is going on.
