Does anybody know someone who has done security contracting and been in the reserves at the same time?

I’m not talking about security guard at a mall. I’m talking about contracting overseas.

Yes, maritime security contracting and being in the reserves. I’m prior service so I would be going back into the military to be in the reserves.

Cpl Jt Cutchin you just have to work it out with your command team to meet your obligation. Only the commander can waive your obligation

Cpl Jt Cutchin - If you're talking schedules, you would have to work all that out with the unit commander, and your current civilian boss. The Reserves requires you to be there one weekend a month, and two weeks a year (mission dependent). Some units will not allow anyone to miss out on Annual Training, while others will allow it under very extenuating circumstances. There are plenty of Service Members who are contractors and drill with a unit, including security contractors.
