I am two months away from finishing my LPN program. I have been interested in joining the military for several years my question is, if I were to join the army under a 68C would I have to repeat the entire LPN program or would I just go through basic training?

Why the interest in avoiding a free medical training refresher? 1. You might learn something new. 2. You're a shoe-in for "honor grad." When I was with TRADOC, company commanders could promote privates with the highest academia. Promotion=more money.

So as always trust but do some additional research but the shart answer is no you shouldnt have to. Hopefully an AIT instructor can weigh in because I dont know how the course is set up but I will give you my experience as a 68W medic. There are two phases to our program one civilian one military. You can get accelerated through the civilian portion so long as you have a valid emt cert. The most I've seen the do is put a soldier through bls again, this is additionally dependent upon how close your cert is to expiring. If you want to guarantee any sort of acceleration through the program recert prior to shipping out on all your certs and licensure, bring a physical copy of everything with you, and be prepared to atleast do a portion of the AIT program.
