Any insight on the Cyberspace career field merger for E-8/9?

It just seems to me like it takes two already very diverse sides of Cyber support and turns them into one impossibly large amalgamation. I don't know that it even matters much at that level but is there any potential negative impact from this merger? Or is it ultimately going to be a non-issue?
